Son of James O’Driscoll and Sarah Howlett, of Tors Cove, Avalon, Newfoundland. Husband of Sarah Dunphy, of Tors Cove. Father of Edward and Margaret O’Driscoll, of Tors Cove.

 

On 27 March 1918, after leaving the port of Santa Polo, Spain, this sailing ship was attacked, boarded and scuttled by a German U-boat team from U-155 and sunk 450 miles (724 km) northwest of Lisbon, Portugal, position 38°54'N/18°24'W. Five sailors lost their lives.
