His full name is Joseph H. Ingraham.
Son of George Thomas Ingraham and Rachel Green of Burgeo, Burgeo-La Poile, Newfoundland. Husband of Ella Beatrice Annetta Strickland of Burgeo. Father of Harriet Melinda Ingram. Brother of merchant seaman Henry Martin Ingraham, who served in the First World War and was awarded the British Merchant Navy Wartime Medal.
This two-masted, wooden-hulled schooner left St-Pierre-Miquelon for Catalina, New Zealand, on 10 December 1917 and was reported missing. She and the six sailors on board were never heard from again. The date of death for these men, all from Burgeo, Newfoundland, was the date of her departure.
