Son of Mary and William Bungay of Mose Ambrose, Newfoundland.
On June 28, 1918, this sailing ship was boarded and sunk by the U-151 in the North Atlantic. Her crew was taken prisoner of war and transported to Berlin where they were interned until the end of the war. Bungay died from illness or injuries sustained during the attack.
