Baptized Joseph-Arthur Beaulieu. Son of Alfred Beaulieu and Sophie Vézina, of Québec. He was killed in action near Abraham Heights, Belgium, on 9 November 1917 during the Battle of Passchendaele. His body was never recovered.
One month prior to his death, his younger brother Adélard, who was also serving with the 22nd Battalion (service number 889102) died of self inflicted wounds.
