John Curran in military uniform 1915. Joined 1st Btn. Canadian Infantry 15th April 1915 in Hamilton, Ontario. Reported missing 17th June 1916. Reported killed in action 7th September 1916. John was born on 4th July 1892 in Kirknewton, Edinburgh, Scotland and lived in Uphall, West Lothian before emigrating to Canada in 1911. He was the 5th of eight children born to John and Helen Curran. -
