Son of Michel and Anna Laderoute (née Sloan). He married Marie-Blanche Sicard on February 20, 1912, at the Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus parish in Montreal. The couple lived at 57 A, rue Le Caron in Ville Émard at the time of the soldier's enlistment.
