Pte. George Henry Wood, 862119, enlisted in Toronto's 180th Sportsmen Battalion C.E.F. on February 3rd, 1916. His military attestation used the name Joseph Sheldon. The Library and Archives Canada indexing to the military attestations indicates that Joseph Sheldon was also known as George Henry Wood. -
Memorial
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
