Baptized Louis-Armand Desrosiers. Son of Philias Desrosiers and Lumina Pauzé. Husband of Marie-Louise Boucher, of Montréal, Québec.

He stated being born on the 5th when he enlisted.

He had previously served with the 15th Quartermaster Company of the Canadian Army Home Guard. Enlisted in the 57th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he arrived in Liverpool, England, on June 8, 1916, and was immediately assigned to the 69th Reserve Battalion. Transferred to the 22nd Battalion on September 27, he landed at Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, on the 28th. On October 16, he went to the front line in the Zillebeke-Mont-Sorrel sector of the Ypres Salient in Belgium. On November 24, he was accidentally injured, suffering burns to his hands and face. On May 1, 1917, he was wounded in combat but remained on duty. On the 27th, he was awarded the Good Conduct Badge. On August 17, 1917, he suffered a contusion following a shell explosion. On November 9, he was wounded again in combat and reported missing during the Battle of Passchendaele, Belgium. His death was confirmed on July 16, 1918.
