Photo of Clarence Moyle
This is a photo of Clarence Moyle taken prior to leaving Canada. He died at Vimy Ridge on April 12, 1917. He was my grandmother's (Louisa Olivia Roth nee Moyle) favourite brother and missed him all her life. She wrote his name on the picture and had it with her always as she felt the world would forget him if she didn't. When she passed away, I asked if I could have his picture and it sits in my home. I will carry on his memory for her. I am hopeful that I will be able to travel to Vimy Ridge one day and see his name inscribed there. I also have the document from the government that was given to his family. -
