This memorial commemorates all members of the unit who fell during the Somme offensive of 1916 and in particular describes the actions on 26 September during the Battle of Theipval Ridge. Lt Geoffrey Allan Snow was originally an officer in the 92nd Battalion (48th Highlanders) before being sent in a reinforcement draft to the 15th Battalion (48th Highlanders) and is shown here in the uniform of the 92nd Battalion. ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY Somme, France
Miraumont is a village about 14.5 kilometres north-north-east of Albert and the Cemetery is some 3 kilometres south of the village on the east side of the road to Courcelette (D107). The ADANAC MILITARY CEMETERY is signposted in the centre of Miraumont.
