Macleod Soldier Is Wounded<P> ------------ (From Our Own Correspondent.) MACLEOD, Jan. 12-Telegraphic word was received on Tuesday by Mrs. David Hutton of Macleod advising her of the fact that her son Lance Corp. Dick Hutton, above, had recently been wounded in action in Italy. The wire stated that further word would be sent later.<P> "Dick" raised and educated in Macleod, went overseas as a member of the 14th Calgary Army Tank Regiment just before Christmas in 1943.<P> His father David Hutton passed away a few months ago at his home here [Fort Macleod, Alberta, Canada] during the absence of both sons overseas. Tpr. MORO RIVER CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY Italy
The Moro River Canadian War Cemetery lies in the locality of San Donato in the Commune of Ortona, Province of Chieti, and is sited on high ground near the sea just east of the main Adriatic coast road (SS16). The cemetery can be reached from Rome on the autostrada A25 (Rome-Pescara) by branching on the autostrada A14 and leaving it at Ortona. The approach road to the cemetery from the main road passes under an arch forming part of the little church of San Donato. The cemetery is permanently open and may be visited anytime.
