Ex-cadets are named on the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario and in memorial stained glass windows to fallen comrades. 1948 Lt Col Ainslie Power Ardagh (RMC 1926) was born March 30, 1908 in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, the son of Ainslie and Margaret Ardagh. He was the husband of Gertrude Ardagh of Quebec City, Quebec. He entered the Royal Military College of Canada and completed his four year course. He served with the British Columbia Dragoons, R.C.A.C., 9th Armd. Regiment. He was killed in action on August 31, 1944 while commanding the regiment in Foggia, Italy at 36 years of age. He was buried in the Montecchio War Cemetery, Italy I. C. 9. -

MONTECCHIO WAR CEMETERY Italy
The War Cemetery lies in the locality of Montecchio in the Commune of Montelabbate (Province of Pesaro). It stands on rising ground just North of the main road from Pesaro to Urbino, about 12 kilometres west of Pesaro. If approaching by car, take the road 423 from Pesaro to Urbino, following the signs for Montecchio. Just before entering the town, the Cemetery will be seen on the right hand side of the road.
