Son of Andrew A. Walker and Helen E. Walker, of Kisbey, Saskatchewan. Brother of Flying Officer Bruce Douglas Walker who was killed in action on August 8, 1944 while serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force
The government of Saskatchewan honoured Flight Sergeant Walker by naming Walker River, which flows northeast to the Geikie River northeast of Big Sand Lake, in his memory.
Air Force Medal, AFRO 802/45. This airman has shown enthusiasm and energy whilst employed as a staff pilot. He takes an interest in his pupils' work and assists them in any way possible. He has set a splendid example.

At 09.50hrs on the 17th of March 1942 Hudson #AM804 crashed into the sea about a mile off Redcar and broke up. Redcar lifeboat went to try and help but were only able to recover one body at the time. Two others were later washed ashore.

P/O (OB) Floyd B Cobb, aged 23, of Outlook, Sask.

Sgt (WAG) Louis J Krapek aged 19, of Huntsville, Ont.
F/Sgt (WAG) Jack R Dickerson RAF, aged 21, of Holkham, Norfolk.
