Son of Godfrey Lennox Eyre Massy Fraser and Irene Maude Lyle, of South Vancouver, British Columbia.

On 15 July 1940, the Bellerock was sailing off Porlock, in the Bristol Channel, England, between Foreland Point and Porthawl, when she hit a mine which exploded killing 17 of the crew.
