Private Léodore Langlois

His full name was Joseph Pierre Léodore Langlois. He was the son of Eugène Langlois and Adélaïde (also known as Adéle) Pedneault. He was the nephew of Charles Langlois of Quebec City.

During World War I, he was drafted under the Compulsory Military Service Act of 1917. Under call-up notice number 181620 E.C., he reported for duty on October 27, 1917, at the 1st Battalion Depot of the 2nd Quebec Regiment at the Quebec City Armory. He was assigned service number 3292204. On February 19, 1919, he deserted the regiment, and on September 19, he was officially declared a deserter and demobilized. On January 7, 1921, he enlisted in the non-active militia of the Royal 22nd Regiment and served until July 31, 1924. From March 26, 1925, to August 31, 1939, he was a member of the permanent force of the same regiment, serving as a cook. On September 5, he transferred to the active force of the Royal 22nd Regiment, service number P-48282. On October 3, 1941, he was admitted to the St-Sacrement Hospital in Quebec City, where he died on the 4th of cerebral congestion. He was buried on the 7th in Quebec City. He never served overseas
