Son of Walter and Mary (nee Jackson) Cook of New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Husband of Pearl Weston (nee MacLean) Cook, of New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Brother of Arthur, Harold, Erenist, Fred Edith and Florence.
1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-45, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Posthumously awarded RCAF Operational Wings in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy, the 26 June 1946.

MONTCORNET MILITARY CEMETERY Aisne, France
Montcornet is a small town in the Department of Aisne. It lies in a densely wooded and hilly area 22 miles north-east of Laon, at the junction of the N.377 road to Laon with the N.366 road to Vervins.
The MONTCORNET MILITARY CEMETERY is adjacent to the Communal Cemetery on the southern outskirts of the town. It is on high ground above the road to the village of Lislet and is approached by a flight of stone steps.
