Additional information

Son of Michael and Mary Avedisian, of Brantford, Ontario. He attended Central School and Brantford Collegiate and was a member of Central School's Skylark Club.

Sergeant James Avedisian served with the 149 East India (Fortis Nocte) Squadron . His Stirling aircraft R 9161 was shot down while returning from a raid over Saarbrucken, Germany and crashed near Regniowez, France. The other Canadian in the crew was Flight Sergeant Ernest J. Le Blanc, age 24, from St. Joseph du Moine (near Cheticamp) Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
