Burial/memorial information
Son of Louis and Bella Kay, of Toronto, Ontario. Brother of Ralph, Rachmael, and Joseph. He attended Central Technical School. To honour the memory of Pilot Officer Kay and pay homage to their allies, the municipality of Bermering and the local committee of 'Le Souvenir Français' plan to erect a monument in the middle of the village, at the very spot of impact of a large piece of fuselage from the Lancaster JB 241 on 4 July 2004.
1939-45 Star, AC Europe Star, General Service Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, Operational Wings posthumously awarded 4 November 1946.

BERMERING (BERMERANGE) COMMUNAL CEMETERY Moselle, France
Bermering (or Bermerange) is a village some 45 kilometres south-east of Metz and 6 kilometres south-east of Morhange, a small town at the intersection of the N. 74. The communal cemetery is on the eastern side of the village, on the road to Benestroff.
