Military Medal, London Gazette No. 4597 dated 11 May 1917 "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during a raid on the enemy's trenches. He opened fire with his machine gun on two parties of the enemy, thereby securing the successsful withdrawal of his own party at a critical time."

TERLINCTHUN BRITISH CEMETERY is situated on the northern outskirts of Boulogne.
From Calais follow the A16 to Boulogne and come off at Junction 3 and follow the D96E for Wimereux Sud. Continue on this road for approximately 1 kilometre when the TERLINCTHUN BRITISH CEMETERY will be found on the left hand side of the road.
