Additional citations

Distinguished Flying Cross. Award effective 7 March 1945 as per London Gazette dated 29 March 1946 'Since joining his present squadron, Flying Officer Ridge has completed a large number of operational sorties, many of which have been successful anti-shipping patrols against enemy naval and merchant vessels near the Dutch, French and Norwegian coasts. These convoys have been frequently accompanied by destroyers and anti-aircraft ships and have occasionally been protected by shore based guns. Flying Officer Ridge has always pressed home his attacks with great courage and fearlessness. He is a most experienced and capable pilot who has always given his leader every possible assistance.'
