THIS MEMORIAL IS DEDICATED AS A PLEDGE OF EVERLASTING FRIENDSHIP TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND TO THE GALLANT FIGHTERS FROM HER EVERY STATE WHO JOINED THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH OF NATIONS IN THE FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY DURING THE SECOND GREAT WAR IN THIS VALLEY TWO MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE SERGEANT PILOT ALFRED REGINALD LAFLECHE, SASKATCHEWAN AND HIS AMERICAN COMRADE LEADING AIRCRAFTSMAN QUENTIN BURL CHACE WICHITA, KANSAS WERE STAYED BY THE HAND OF DEATH FEBRUARY 17, 1941 This war memorial is located in Cochrane, Alberta. -
