Claresholm airfield memorial 1 Pilot Officer Sparks was posted to England in March of 1942 with a Canadian Army Hospital unit. He later volunteered for the RCAF under the PNB scheme and was accepted as a pilot trainee. There is a photo of him in the new Saskatchewan book “Age Shall Not Weary Them” He was killed alongside Flying Officer Bauer (RAAF 437247) when Harvard FH128 from 15 Service Flying Training School went into a dive and crashed six miles east of Stavely, Alberta -
