John Angus McEachern is the man holding the fiddle in this picture. He was considered a very good violin player at that time. John Angus left Cape Breton to work as a logger in British Columbia where he was drafted into WW1. He never returned to Cape Breton after leaving for BC. Photo taken in logging camp ( Brooks, Scanlen, O'Brien Company, Vancouver, BC) around 1916-17. John Angus McEachern died October 13th 1918.
