Military Medal, London Gazette No. 29953, dated 19 February 17, "During the attack on Desire Trench by the 54th Canadian Infantry Battalion 18th November 1916, showed great bravery and energy in dressing wounded under fire. He has
been repeatedly noticed for gallantry under fire previous to this occasion."

CANADIAN CEMETERY No. 2 Pas de Calais, France
The CANADIAN CEMETERY No. 2 is about 2.5 kilometres north of the village of Neuville-St. Vaast. The village is about 6 kilometres north of Arras and 1 kilometre east of the main road from Arras to Bethune. The cemetery is on a spur road turning left from the road to Givenchy-en-Gohelle, about 1 kilometre south of the Canadian Memorial at Vimy.
