Burial/memorial information
On 15 April 1917, the Gretaston was en route from Huelva, Spain, to Garston, now Liverpool, England, when she was torpedoed and sunk by UC-27, position 43°08'N/11°32'W. Her entire crew of 29 sailors lost their lives. The Canadian authorities will record the loss of this ship as having occurred on the 11th.
