His real first name is Francis (aka Frank). Son of Frank and Amelia Pearson. Husband of Catherine Taylor of South Shields, Durham, England. On 1 May 1917, after setting sail from Rouen, France, she was torpedoed 26 miles (42 km) west-north-west of Boulogne, France, in the English Channel, by UB-18 and sunk, position 50°27'N01°04'E. Three sailors lost their lives.
