Burial/memorial information
On April 28, 1917, Pontiac was arriving from Karachi, Pakistan, when she was torpedoed by UC-74 70 miles (113 km) north-east of Marsa Souza, Libya, in the Mediterranean, position 34°04'N/22°06'E. Only Bridson was killed. The captain, the chief engineer and two gunners were taken prisoner.
