Additional information
On 19 February 1918, at around 4:30 am, 15 miles (24 km) east of Butt of Lewis, Scotland, the Beacon Light was part of a small convoy. At around 5:30 am, near a lighthouse, the cargo ship was torpedoed by U-91 and sank with her entire crew of 33 men, including the captain, in position 58°27'374''N/05°45'055''W.
