Son of Pierre and Eugenie (née Carrière) Maisonneuve of Ottawa, Ontario. Brother of Bernard, Georges, André, Gérard, Marie, Jean, Renée, Thérèse, and Suzanne. He listed his civilian employment as Canadian National Railway telegraph messenger. He was single. He had 10 months previous Reserve Force service with the Royal Canadian Artillery in 1949. A Memorial erected by the Korean Veterans Association, National Capital Unit, commemorating the 516 Canadians who died in the Korean War will be unveiled and rededicated during Veterans Week 2003 at Ottawa City Hall Headquarters on Elgin Street.
