Son of Private Alexander James Hogg, 47th Battalion, killed in action 13 April 1917 and Margaret (nee Shields) Hogg, of Merritt, British Columbia. Brother of David and May Poole. Husband of Kathryn Merle (nee Henley) and father of Linda Margaret Hogg, of Belleville, Ontario.
His father, Private Alexander James
Hogg, 47th Battalion, died on 13 April 1917. His name is inscribed on the Vimy
Memorial. Allan would have been almost two years old at that time.
