Son of Samuel Harding and Ellen Burgess of Greenspond, Bonavista Bay (Newfoundland). Husband of Beatrice Burry of Newell’s Island, Bonavista Bay. Father of Gertrude Harding.


He died at sea aboard the Glencoe of heart failure. His body was brought back to St. John's, Newfoundland, where he was buried.
