Son of Hubert John Stevens and Myrtle May Shannon from Sarnia, Lambton, Ontario.


After visiting his family for Christmas 1944, he was seriously injured in a storm in March 1945. He was rushed to St. Michael's Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados, where he died on 20 March 1945, the day before his 18th birthday. He was buried there.
