Son of William Frederick Waller and Alice Mabel Game from Edmonton, Middlesex, England.


Away from convoy OB-284 since 14 February 1941, en route from Oban, Scotland, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, at 0:38 am on the 15th, the Holystone was torpedoed and sunk by U-123 500 miles (805 km) south-south-west of Iceland, position 55°39'N/25°15'W. The captain, 35 crew members and 4 gunners lost their lives.
