Son of Johanne (John) and Amalie Bestick. His parents farmed. Frank was one of 13 children, four of which served in the Armed Forces, Albert, John, Charlie and Joseph. Joseph also served in the First World War. When Frank's personal Items were sent home, included were two baseball gloves, we can assume that he liked to play baseball.

Frank's parents were Johanne(John) and Amalie. Frank was born in Erinview MB. The parents were Farmers. Frank had 12 siblings. Four others also served in the ARMED FORCES. My Father was Albert. He served in the Royal Canadian Engineers. Also the brothers Joseph, John, and Charlie also served. -
