Burial/memorial information
He pretended being three years older and stated being born in 1894 when he enlisted. He was serving with the 55th Battalion since 26 February 1915, but his enlistment was officialese only two months later. He was wounded in action on 5 May 1917 during the Battle of Vimy Ridge and died the same day.
