Burial/memorial information
After being transferred to the 22nd Battalion from the 23rd Reserve Battalion on 16 May 1916, he was wounded in action on 14 September at the Battle of Courcelette, Pas-de-Calais, France. He was reported missing on 18 September and officially recognised as dead on 16 July 1917.

His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens) -
