Photo of JOHN COOPER
Sent few minutes ago a photo and text of John Cooper, published in local newspaper The Orcadian in summer 1917 a few weeks after John Cooper's death at Vimy Ridge. Photo attached here is copy of the original sent to the paper then, passed to me about ten years ago by John's descendants who still live on the island of Westray in Orkney. -
Memorial
His name as it is inscribed on the Vimy Memorial. Over 11,000 fallen Canadians having no known place of burial in France, are honoured on this Memorial. May they never be forgotten. (J. Stephens)
