His real name is Omer-Joseph-Ovila Coderre

Enlisted in the 69th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he sailed for Great Britain on April 17, 1916, arriving in Liverpool, England, on the 27th. On June 28, he was transferred to the 22nd Battalion and on the 29th, he crossed the English Channel, landing in Boulogne, Pas-de-Calais, France, that same day. On July 2, he was on the front lines in Zillebeke, Belgium. On September 16, 1916, he went missing during fighting in Courcelette, Somme, France. On July 26, 1917, he was declared missing in action and presumed killed. His body was never found.
