Location:

Courcelette is a village some 10 kilometres north-east of the town of Albert, just off the D929 road to Bapaume. The Courcelette British Cemetery is approximately 1 kilometre west of the village on the south side of a track, suitable for cars, from the secondary road from Courcelette to Pozieres. The route is signposted in the village.

Microform Sequence 22; Volume Number 31829_B016731. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 166.  Page 297 of 818. Private Robert Cook was initially buried South-West of Courcelette, 5 miles North-East of Albert. After the Armistice, during the process of concentration of graves, his body was exhumed (along with the bodies of almost 2,000 other soldiers, mostly those who died around Courcelette and Pozieres in 1916) and re-interred in Courcelette British Cemetery.
