Location:

Bailleul is a large town in France, near the Belgian border, 14.5 kilometres south-west of Ieper and on the main road from St. Omer to Lille. The Communal Cemetery is on the eastern outskirts of the town. From the Grand Place, take the Ieper road and 400 metres along this road is a sign indicating the direction of the cemetery. Turn down the right into a small road and follow for approximately 400 metres. The cemetery is on the right and the BAILLEUL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION is at the bottom end.

  • Plaque– 1914-1918 Memorial tablet, Bloor Street Presbyterian Church, 300 Bloor St. 
West, Toronto, Ontario.  This congregation was established in 1887, and in 
1925 became the Bloor Street United Church.  The tablet was unveiled on May 
16th, 1920.  It was inscribed:  "In memory of the men of Bloor Street 
Presbyterian Church who went out to battle and died for Freedom's cause.   
They feared not Death and meeting it they won the Victor's Crown."
  • The Soldiers' Tower– The Soldiers' Tower was built at University of Toronto between 1919-1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. The name of Cpl G. G. Galloway 7th Bde C.F.A. is among the 628 names carved on the Memorial Screen, which can be seen at photo left.
