Passenger aboard a Dakota plane that was shot down by a German fighter. The aircraft was part of a group of 15 aircraft carrying 300 members of the Royal Canadian Air Force that was en route to Elmas, Sardinia, Castel Benito, Italy, and finally to Karachi, Pakistan.
Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and bar.
