37 Canadians Place
The town of Authie, France honoured 37 Canadian soldiers by naming a street after them. The young Canadians, mostly from the Maritimes, were part of the D-Day invasion and were killed while trying to liberate the town from the Germans. -

RYES WAR CEMETERY Calvados, France
Leave Bayeux on the D12 to the east; at the village of Sommervieu carry straight on, following the D112, and after 3 kilometres turn right on to the D87. After climbing round a bend to the left, the cemetery will be found on the left hand side.
