Son of John and Clara Bernice (nee Moore) Craig, of Westboro, Ontario. Brother of Gervais, Shanly, John, Cecil, Sarah, Alma and Winnifred.
Distinguished Flying Medal, London Gazette 10 September 1943, "Flight Sergeant Craig has completed numerous night bombing sorties against targets in enemy territory. These have included Berlin and Turn and other dangerous and distant objectives. During all these missions he has proved himself to be a most conscientious and efficient air gunner, and his constant watchfulness has on more than one occasion enabled his captain to evade night fighters". <P>
1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-45. 'Posthumously awarded RCAF Operational Wings in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy, the 6 September 1946.

BERLIN 1939-1945 WAR CEMETERY Germany
The BERLIN 1939-1945 WAR CEMETERY is in the district of Charlottenburg, 8 kilometres west of the city centre, on the south side of the Heerstrasse.
From Theodor Heuss Platz in the district of Charlottenburg near the exhibition hall complex and next to the Olympic stadium, follow signs for Spandau, proceeding along the Heerstrasse. The Cemetery lies on the Heerstrasse on the left hand side of the road and 3 kilometres from Theodor Heuss Platz.
Visitors should drive beyond the BERLIN 1939-1945 WAR CEMETERY to the traffic lights, then turn left directly onto a small one way street running parallel to the Heerstrasse. The Cemetery entrance is on this small one way road.
