Location:

The SALERNO WAR CEMETERY lies in the locality of Pratole, Via Nazionale in the Commune of Montecorvino Pugliano in the Province of Salerno, on the north side of the main coast road (Route No.18) leading south from Salerno. It is 14 kilometres south of Salerno, on the inner edge of a plain which is flat and open and about 10 kilometres wide. A short distance from the Cemetery the hills rise steeply from the plain to form a magnificent amphitheatre. From the A3 Motorway take the Battipaglia exit and head west for about 1 kilometre. At the first main junction turn right on to road No.18 towards Salerno and the SALERNO WAR CEMETERY can be found several kilometres past Bellizzi on the right hand side.
