Flight Sergeant Edward Kelloway
Flt. Sgt. Ed Kelloway, RCAF, presumed dead in raid over Germany August, 1943.
<p> <i> Photo courtesy of Hillcrest High School - <b>"Stairway of Honour"</B> project. Eighty-four large portraits of students from the Second World War line both sides of the 55 stairs leading up to the school's auditorium. Most of the portraits have the rank and year of death of the student. Some portraits explain how the soldier died, but many were MIA and presumed dead. Each year, teachers from the grade 10 Canadian History course take their students to the stairway around November 11th to complete a project that deals directly with the pictures on the Stairway of Honour.</i> <p>

This is the full photo of Edward Kelloway that is on the 'Stairway of Honour' of Hillcrest High School and was sent to me via a German journalist for use on a web page that I have about him and other pages which include information about the other air crew members of Lancaster DV187 of 12 Squadron RAF that he died with on the 28th August 1943.
Edward died when the aircraft he was in was shot down by Hauptmann Ludwig Meister, a German night fighter pilot who 30 mins previously had shot down Lancaster ED627 of 207 Squadron RAF flown by my cousin PO. Arthur Marcus Fitzgerald
