Son of Daniel Allan Belyea, and of Gladys E. Belyea, of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Brother of Corporal Graham Stanley Belyea, who died on May 1, 1941, while serving with the Corps of Military Staff Clerks.

Location:

Hanover Military Cemetery which adjoins the HANOVER WAR CEMETERY is reached via the A2 E30 motorway from Dortmund to Berlin. At the junction with the B441 turn right onto the B441 and follow signs for Hanover, Ahlem and Seelze. After 7 km turn right onto Seelzestrasse leading towards Harrenburg. After 5 km and having entered Harenburg turn left onto Harenberger Miele. The Hanover Military Cemetery and the HANOVER WAR CEMETERY are located 3 km after leaving Harrenburg in the direction of Hanover.

  • Photo of Allan Conway Belyea– Belyea, Allan Conway - Pilot Officer. Born 23rd February, 1923, at Winnipeg. Educated at Gordon Bell School and University of Manitoba, Winnipeg. Entered the service of the Bank 11th June, 1940. Served at Winnipeg city branches. Enlisted 15th April, 1942, from Portage & Garry
Winnipeg) in R.C.A.F. Sergeant 9th March, 1943; Flight Sergeant 22nd April, 1943; Pilot Officer 29th March, 1944. Trained at Brandon, Man., and Pearce, Alta. Graduated as Navigator in February, 1943. Overseas in March, 1943.  Attached R.A.F.  Reported missing after air operations on 31st Match, 1944. Aircraft subsequently found, with bodies of crew. Pilot Officer Belyea's body was identified and buried 3rd April, 1944, in Schwarzbach Cemetery, northeast of Fulda, Germany. From a memorial booklet prepared by the Canadian Bank of Commerce.
