Additional Information courtesy of Floyd Williston: F/L Hedley Goodyear, age 25, was killed when Lancaster LM 476, of No.61 Squadron, was shot down at Lugde, Westphalia, Germany, during a night raid on Brunswick. F/L Goodyear had previously cheated the Reaper when his Manchester bomber crashed at Metheringham, Lincolnshire, during a severe snowstorm. Originally buried at Lugde, his remains were later re-buried in the Limmer British Cemetery, Hanover, Germany.
