Son of George Firlotte and Mary Elizabeth Downs of Broadlands, Québec. Husband of Beatrice Louise Hume.
Served in Québec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland with Force W, Hong Kong with Force C, Japan as a prisoner of war. He had 1,281 days of service, including 827 overseas.
1939-1945 Star, Pacific Star, War Medal 1939-1945, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp.

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY Japan
YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
