Burial/memorial information
The town of Hoevelaken renamed a street as Pte Walter (Jock) Strang in a ceremony on 29 November 2007. Private Strang was previously honoured on a small cenotaph which stood at the site where he died in battle during the liberation of Hoevelaken from occupying German troops. Ian Strang, a nephew of Private Strang flew to the Netherlands to attend the ceremony, along with three of his Private Strangs' comrades from the Loyal Edmonton Regiment.
