DJIBOUTI NEW EUROPEAN CEMETERY Djibouti

The Republic of Djibuti, previously known as the French Territory of the Afars and the Issas, is situated on the north-east coast of Africa and is bounded by Ethiopia to the north and west, by Somali Republic to the South and by the Gulf of Aden to the east. The New European Cemetery lies about 3 miles (5 km) south of the town on the east of the road leading to the airport. The cemetery is enclosed by a wall and the entrance gate is on the northern side, facing a small white stone chapel at the far end of the central park.
